How do organic farmers prevent harmful pests from invading their crops? It’s all about biodiversity. Matt and Benny McLean, Production Manager for Uncle Matt’s, share with you how organic farmers can use biodiversity to prevent damage to crops from harmful pests without the use of harmful pesticides or synthetics.
Dad makes his video debut! He’s a natural in front of the camera, and he’s a wealth of knowledge about citrus. As our head of Ag Production, we rely on him to help solve the problems we encounter while farming organic. Growing citrus is his passion and it shows. Thanks Dad!
I found it fascinating, and now I kinda want to come visit.
I bought your oranges (my co-workers call them “yellows”) and tangerines at my local supermarket, Meijer’s.
They made me into a convert, as I think they are far more tasty than the factory farm oranges and tangerines they also carry there. They are also ideally sized for my lunches.
I’m not into juice, but your fruit certainly is great!
I hope you aren’t hurt too much by this economy, as your produce is something I look forward to every time I go grocery shopping.
SafeTinspector thanks for your post. Sorry for my super late reply- blame it on my first child being born October 28 and the sleep deprivation that followed! What year is it anyway??
I’m glad to hear your local store carried our fresh citrus and thanks for your support. In this economy every customer counts, especially a happy one.
We would love to have you visit the groves, and we give tours quite regularly. Stay tuned to the website for more educational videos from the farm.
Cheers,
Uncle Matt
