<description>The Organic Center does a good job of conveying the benefits of organic food. Long term I believe you will see more research that shows greater nutrient content in organic verse conventional. There have been several studies that have already proved this notion. Organic farming is beneficial beyond just pesticides and the environment. A more nutrient dense fruit or vegetable is worth the extra price you pay for organic. Your body will agree...

<description>The wonderful world of grapefruit. There is nothing better than fresh grapefruit in the morning. This article is a great read, and it's a constant reminder that we should continue to value the true health benefits of grapefruit. Recently this fruit has declined in popularity because of it's interactions with popular medications. The real story is grapefruit has shown it makes the medications more potent, which means you could actually reduce the dose. Now that's a great fruit! Plus it's natural health benefits of vitamin c, folate, antioxidants, and fiber. Eat more grapefruit and your body will thank you.

<description>This article is exciting news for organic farmers and consumers. As the industry grows we are now seeing better research that validates what we all believed but could not prove- organic is healthier for you. Nutrient density is at the top of our list at Uncle Matt's, and we believe the same results will apply for our citrus fruit as it did for the UC Davis vegetable trials. Healthy soil really does yield a healthy tree and healthy fruit...

<description>The following quote from Perfecto says it all about our current Conventional Ag research community.

“Corporate interest in agriculture and the way agriculture research has been conducted in land grant institutions, with a lot of influence by the chemical companies and pesticide companies as well as fertilizer companies - all have been playing an important role in convincing the public that you need to have these inputs to produce food,” she added.

Now I'm not saying all conventional research is bad or all researchers are biased, but it would be a refreshing change to see more organic ag research getting grant money. Off the record we've had several researchers tell us the same thing. The conventional influence can be suffocating.

I agree with this article and study that states organic production, when done correctly, could yield enough to feed the masses. The conventional establishment wants you to believe differently...
